Interface – A new music tech band for young people (aged 14-18)

Interface is a new FREE project run by Quench Arts. The project will create a new 10 piece music tech focused ’band’ reflective of our Birmingham communities.

The project will run from end of Feb until end July, focused on creating & rehearsing new music. We hope to run most of the sessions face to face but may initially have to start sessions online,. Weekly sessions will run on

Monday evenings, 6.30-8.30pm, with some full Saturdays. Music created will be recorded and shared.

We are looking for young people with a talent, love and interest in music technology – software & hardware. Think of things like Skoogs, Kaossilators, Roli Blocks and decks as well as loop pedals and Logic/ Ableton Live. We would also like to hear from singers/ rappers interested in experimenting with music technology.

Email us on info@quench-arts.co.uk by 12th February 2021 to express interest and we will be in touch for more detail! If young people are under 18, a parent/carer needs to contact us on your behalf! Please note places are limited.

Ideally, we’d love the band to be reflective of the diversity of Birmingham and encourage Black and Asian young people and/ or those who identify as having a disability to get touch.
