Venue: CBSO Centre, Berkley Street, Birmingham, B1 2LF
Dates: Thursday 23rd January 2020, 10.30am & 1.00pm or Friday 24th January 2020, 10.30am & 1.00pm
Presenter Jane Wright and a 10 piece CBSO ensemble will deliver a performance specially designed for pupils with special educational needs inspired by The Wizard of Oz. Pupils will be taken on a magical musical journey through imaginary worlds, meeting some interesting characters on the way, and having opportunities to engage with the performance throughout.
We will also provide a selection of resources in advance of the performance to help familiarise pupils with the story and create a more interactive concert experience.
The CBSO is delighted to be delivering these performances in partnership with Services for Education, and thanks to their generous support we are able to offer FREE tickets for pupils attending special schools in Birmingham.
This year we will also be holding priority booking for Birmingham schools, which will run until Monday 28 October 2019, after which we will open booking to all special schools across the West Midlands.
Ticket availability is limited and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so book quickly to avoid disappointment. We will operate a waiting list should any additional places become available.
To book your places please contact Steph Walsh on the details below confirming your full name, school address and the number of pupil and teacher tickets you require. You must confirm any seating requirements at the time of booking e.g. indicating any wheelchair spaces or special seating requirements. Please provide as much detail as possible.
Performances last for approximately an hour and are suitable for all ages.
