MAC Makes Music have some exciting opportunities for young people who would love to be part of 2 inclusive bands at MAC!
Our first band is SWITCH who are a group of talented young musicians and MAC’s band in residence.
The band write and play their own music and have performed in a number of shows including: SWITCH Sunset in MAC’s Outdoor Arena to The Squidz Club in London.
- Who are we looking for? Participants between the ages of 16 – 25 years old who identify as disabled and/or have additional needs and love music! No previous experience required.
- When do SWITCH practice? *Every Tuesday during term time from 6 – 8pm. *Subject to change
- Where do SWITCH practice? The band meet at MAC (Midlands Arts Centre)
The second band is miniSWITCH, MAC’s younger version of the band, SWITCH.
miniSWITCH have been going for roughly a year now and they’ve created some fantastic tracks so far.
We’d love to see more young people join in, which is why we’re recruiting for new members.
- Who are we looking for? Participants between the ages of 11 – 15 years old who identify as disabled and/or have additional needs and love music! Again, no previous experience is required
- When do miniSWITCH practice *Fortnightly on Thursdays during term time from 5.30 – 7.30pm. *Subject to change
- Where do miniSWITCH practice? The band meet at MAC (Midlands Arts Centre)
We’re interested to hear from music teachers or parents where appropriate who can refer a potential young person that may be interested in joining.
