A free twilight CPD event for Primary School Music Coordinators with a focus on using music technology to teach composition in KS1 and KS2.
Location: Regents Park Community Primary School (B10 0NJ)
Date: Tuesday 19th March 2019
We will be working with Soundplant to create music using sounds we make in the session.
The session will be suitable for those who have no previous experience of working with music technology in the classroom as well as those who are more familiar.
Some session outcomes:
- Learn the basics of using free sound software in the classroom with individuals and groups
- Give teachers some strategies for working on composition with a mixture of acoustic and recorded sounds
- Link teachers to other initiatives (Minute of Listening / Ears 2 ) that they might like to be part of in their schools.
Teachers will need to bring a LAPTOP (soundplant doesn’t work on iPads or Tablets) either Windows or Mac.
