We have a new set of JAM courses starting after the half term holidays!
These courses provide parents/carers and their children the opportunity to make and enjoy music individually or with others. These relaxed sessions are aimed at children with additional needs (including but not limited to; physical disability, learning disability, autism, sensory impairment).
The JAM courses will run for six weeks and consist of 5 different classes according to the child’s age and individual needs starting from 6 months to 11 years old.
SWITCH on the BEAT
MAC Makes Music presents SWITCH on the BEAT featuring MAC’s band in residence SWITCH, The Warriors and an exciting array of solo artists on Tuesday 18th December.
Come and enjoy the beats and vibes with a Christmas twist. Live bands will rock the stage with original music and for the first time in SWITCH history members of the band will be spinning decks in a DJ special! It’s on from 7.30pm until late in the Foyle Studio at MAC and tickets are now on sale.
FREE Inclusive Music Opportunities
1-miniSWITCH – an inclusive new band for young people between 11-15 years with sessions run by a professional musician. So far the participants have learnt to write songs and created music using a mixture of instruments and technology. The young people meet every Tuesday during term time from 5.15-6pm in Music Studio 1 at MAC
2-Out Loud – 2 new inclusive singing groups: one group for 6-11 years and another group for 12-16 years. The groups are run by another professional musician teaching the young people vocal development andsong writing skills with the intention of forming an ensemble.
Out Loud meets every Wednesday during term time between 5.30- 7.15pm (times vary depending on age group) in Music Studio 1 at MAC.
